Drone-Label / Drone-Tag for Germany

In Germany as well as in all other EU nations (European Union) a drone-label (a so called "Drohnen-Kennzeichen") is a legal obligation and required by law for all drones independant of its takoff weight and maximum takeoff mass (MTOM). So this includes all common camera-drones like DJI Mavic MINI, DJI Mini 2, DJI Mavic Air 2,DJI Mavic Air, DJI Mavic Pro / Platinum, all DJI Phantom models and even DJI Spark.

As a drone operator, you need to rerister yourself online at the LBA (Luftfahrt Bundesamt) which ist the German airspace authority (or at the appropriate airspace authority of any other EU country you want to fly).

There you will get an electronic drone operator ID (eID). This eID (operator ID) needs to be placed on your drone - so it is visible. The best way to do so is with one of your drone labels. You eID will be engraved into the label.
